Have you ever wondered if you can help sick people who are far away? Are you aware that nowadays, in this developed world of ultimate gadgets and technology, there are still people living at the edge of existence? A lot of people still have no chance to get a proper medical examination and never had a chance of even seeing a doctor. A lot of countries simply don’t meet enough resources to establish a good and effective health care system so people living in rural areas often cannot afford or don’t have a chance to get a proper medical treatment. We for sure can’t expect our governments to go from door to door and ask every single person what are their needs and what do they lack – it is a responsibility of all of us – to organize starting from local communities, cities, areas, regions, nations – and form a Non-Profit and Non-Governmental Organization that will help and meet all the people craving for some basic needs. One of that kind of organizations is Relief India Trust.
The main objective of the Relief India Trust is to ensure and facilitate a better quality of life to everyone they meet. Basically, it is being done through community mobilization where you have a community that is struck by some problem and you not only provide them with a solution or provide them with what they need, but you also teach them, do a lot of education, establish a self-aware community that will be able, if the problem come back again, be able to identify it and search for the right tools to deal with it properly and effectively. By doing that the NGO is creating a sustainable community that is able to recognize its strengths and weaknesses as well as to respond properly to them in every moment.
By doing it with this sustainability system Relief India Trust is able to assist more and more communities to raise awareness about the importance of modern medicine in everyday life. The organization is not only focusing on medicament distribution but also to deliver presentations, and teach a community how a good health care will benefit them, especially the young underprivileged children who are the most vulnerable group here since they are not able to decide about anything concerning their lives. It is high time to start engaging in this kind of work and there are so many options for all of us: some of us want to face it and will try to become a volunteer, others will send help in for of goods and clothes, some of us will simply donate blood, some of us will donate money which is essential in order to keep a lot of organizations running and providing everything for the people. Sometimes our little act of gesture can save a life, and we are not even aware of that sadly.
